1 Bangers

指香肠,不过里面的肉除了猪肉外,也可以是牛肉、鸡肉或其他肉。

“Do you serve bangers” 「你们这边有卖香肠吗?」

2 Blimey

当感到相当惊讶的时候可以用这个字,表示自己很讶异。这种惊吓比较带有负面情绪。

“Blimey, did you see that accident” 「哎呀,你有看到那场车祸吗?」

3 Chuffed

表示心情愉悦,感到开心。

“My mom was chuffed to receive the present” 「我妈妈对于收到礼物感到很开心。」

4 Dodgy

表示某个东西无法正确的运作。

“Be a bit careful about that car because the last wheel is a bit dodgy” 「要小心那辆车,因为它的后轮有点怪怪的。」

或者当你对某人心存怀疑或不信任的时候,也可以用这个字。

“I’m very dodgy about him” 「我对他抱持着怀疑。」

5 Gob acked

表示很惊讶,且带有正面的情绪。

“I was gob acked to see an old man driving off in a sports car” 「看到一个老人开着跑车真是太令我讶异了。」

6 Kip

一个可以睡觉、休息的小地方。

“I need a little kip before we head off” 「在出发之前我需要一个可以休息一下的地方。」

这个字也可以用以表是一间脏乱的房间。

“If your room is a kip, you need to clean it” 「如果你的房间太脏乱,你就需要整理一下。」

7 Knacker

表示某人看起来很疲惫、充满倦容。

“You looked so knackered Maybe you should take a rest” 「你看起来好疲累。或许你该休息一下了。」

8 Nicked

表示东西被偷走了。

“My bike has just been nicked” 「我的脚踏车不久前才被拖走。」

或者表示某人被逮捕。

“My friend was nicked for over speeding” 「我的朋友因为超速而被逮捕了。」

9 Pissed

表示被某件事激怒,或是看起来很生气。

“You look pissed” 「你看起来很生气。」

但英式俚语与美式俚语的意思不同。在英式俚语中,pissed的意思是喝醉。

“When Marc arrived at the party, he was already pissed” 「当Marc到派对的时候,他已经是喝醉的状态了。」

另一个与pissed意思相同的英式俚语是plastered,用法与pissed相同。

10 Ta!

表示谢谢。

11 Quid

表示价格是一镑。另外fiver是指五镑,tenner则指十镑。

12 Wonky

意思与dodgy很类似。可以用于人,但更常用于事物,表示有点不对劲。
