近三成英国年轻人认为读大学无用吗？

每当人们提起比尔·盖茨和乔布斯时，总会提到他们从大学退学的故事，并以此作为“大学无用论”的证据。

近日，一项最新的民意调查显示，过去5年来，认为大学值得上的年轻人数量大幅下降。

在由益普索·莫里调查机构为英国教育慈善机构萨顿信托所做的一项调查中，受访的11岁至16岁青少年中，只有75%的人认为只有接受高等教育才能过得更好。而在2013年，这一比例为86%。

这一结果选择在“英国高考”——A-level考试放榜当日发布，有2381人接受了采访。其中，77%的人认为他们会在中学毕业后继续进入大学学习，但几乎有一半(46%)的人担心他们的学费。

报道援引萨顿信托创始人兼英国教育捐助基金会主席彼得·兰珀尔爵士的话称，“年轻人正面临着两难选择。”“如果他们继续上大学，将会面临超过5万英镑的债务，这笔债务甚至到他与此同时，那些以学徒制方式进入大学的学生却认为自己做出了明智的选择。所谓学徒制即企业定向培养的学生。布莱克本学院的学生诺阿·贝尔彻姆获得了机械工程证书，这让他在工业巨头罗尔斯·罗伊斯那里获得了学位学徒的机会。“从经济的角度考虑，这意义重大”， 贝尔彻姆表示，“我知道这是我想要的职业生涯。直接作为学徒为这样一个伟大公司工作，这确实改变了我的未来。”贝尔彻姆在布莱克本学院的同学詹姆斯·科克尔也选择成为学位学徒，他表示，“3年或4年后，我可能已经赚到6万英镑的薪水而不是债务。”
