赛琳娜是独生女，出於於纽约市，成长於德州Grand Prairie。母亲Mandy Teefy是个演员，在16岁时生下她。她的第一个角色是在7岁的时候Barney & Friends饰演Gianna。她10岁时在一个全国迪士尼才艺选秀中被迪士尼发掘。2006年，她客串第二季小查与寇弟的顶级生活（仲夏夜恶梦A Midsummer's Nightmare），饰演小芬。
