这首诗的作者是刘擎和王嫣夫妇，在文化大革命时期刘擎曾随父母下放到大西北，在那里认识了王嫣，在那个特殊的年代和特殊的家庭背景下，他们爱得是艰难的、纯粹的，后来他们共同创作了《四月的纪念》这首诗歌，记录了那段情感的经历，这首诗歌以一种全新的形式广为流传，成为朗诵艺术的一种样本。

一个60后或是70初的大学生可能对这首诗会有一定的印象，可能在你读书时的某个晚会上，有同学朗诵过；也可能你曾经从那个破旧的小收音机里听过这首配乐诗朗诵，而且正是丁建华和乔榛朗诵的这个版本。那我非常高兴在这里能够唤醒你曾经的记忆。
